With Off Season (Zwischensaison), Daniel Schmid returns to one of the defining settings of his filmmaking: the hotel. In an almost deserted hotel in the Swiss Alps, people find themselves suspended between arrival and departure, past and future.

Rather than following a conventional narrative, the film captures moods, encounters and the subtle transformations of life. A poetic reflection on transience, belonging and change, sensitively directed and distinguished by Daniel Schmid's unmistakable visual style.
