Integration of third-party services and content
This online offer may include third-party content, e.g. YouTube videos, maps generated by Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites.
This always implies that the providers of such content (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") acknowledge the respective user's IP address.
It is not possible to broadcast content to the respective user's browser without the IP address.
The IP address is thus required to display this content.
We strive to exclusively use content from providers that use the IP address for the sole purpose of delivering the content.
We however have no influence on whether or not third-party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes.
As far as we are aware of such cases, we educate the user about them.
Cookies
Cookies are small files that allow the storage of specific, device-related information on the user's end device (PC, smart phone, etc.).
On the one hand, they enhance the user-friendliness of websites and thus benefit the user (e.g. by storing login data).
On the other hand, they are used to collect and analyse statistical data on website use for the purpose of improving the Site.
The user is able to control the use of cookies.
Most browsers offer the option to restrict or completely prevent cookie storage.
It however needs to be pointed out that the usability and especially the user experience will be limited without cookies.
A large number of online ad cookies from corporate websites can be managed via the US website https://optout.aboutads.info/ or the EU website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/.
Registration function
The data entered during the registration process will be used for purposes related to the use of the Site.
The user may be informed via email about information relevant to the offer or registration, e.g. changes to the scope of the offer or technical circumstances.
The data collected is displayed in the input mask during registration.
Google Analytics
This Site uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”).
Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on the user's device that make it possible to analyse their use of the website.
The information created by the cookie about the use of the website by the user is typically transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
If IP anonymisation is activated for this website, the user's IP address is first truncated by Google within the European Union or in another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
Only in exceptional cases is the complete IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.
IP anonymisation is activated on this website.
On behalf of the website operator, Google will process this information to analyse the use of the website by the user, to compile reports about website activities and to render to the operator of the website other services related to the use of the website and internet usage.
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of the Google Analytics service will not be combined with any other Google data.
The user can prevent cookies from being saved by adjusting the relevant setting in their browser software; the provider of this Site however points out that in this case not all website functions may be available to their full extent.
Furthermore, the user can prevent the storage of data created by the cookie and related to their use of the website (incl. the IP address) and Google’s processing of this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available here:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
Alternatively, the user can set an “opt-out cookie” which will prevent the capture of their data during future visits of this website.
In the process, an opt-out cookie will be placed on your device.
If cookies are deleted, the link must be clicked again.
Use of Facebook social plugins
This offer uses social plugins (“Plugins”) provided by the social network facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).
The plugins can be identified by one of the Facebook logos (white “f” on blue tile, the term “Like” or the “thumbs up” icon) or by the wording “Facebook Social Plugin”.
For a list of Facebook social plugins and their appearance, visit: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
Whenever a user calls up a page within this offer containing such plugin, their browser establishes a direct connection with Facebook’s servers.
Facbook transmits the plugin's content directly to your browser. The browser then integrates it into the website.
The provider of this Site thus has not influence on the extent of the data collected by Facebook by means of this plugin and therefore informs the user according to their state of knowledge (https://www.facebook.com/help/186325668085084?faq=17512).
By integrating the plugin, Facebook receives the information that a user has called up the respective subpage of the Site.
If the user is logged in on Facebook, Facebook is able to link the visit to their user account.
Whenever a user interacts with the plugins, e.g. by clicking the "Like" button or commenting, the relevant information is sent from their browser directly to Facebook and stored there.
If a user is not a member of Facebook, Facebook still has the option to obtain and store their IP address.
According to Facebook, only anonymised IP addresses are stored in Germany.
The purpose and scope of the data collection, information about the processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as all relevant rights and settings options to protect user privacy can be found in Facebook's privacy statement: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
If a user is a member of Facebook but does not want Facebook to collect their data and link it to their member data stored on Facebook via this offer, they must log out of Facebook before visiting this website.
This Site uses buttons of the online service Twitter.
These buttons are made available by Twitter Inc. 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
They can be identified by terms such as “Twitter” or “Follow” together with a stylised blue bird.
Using the buttons, it is possible to share a post or a page of this offer on Twitter or to follow the provider of this Site on Twitter.
Whenever a user calls up a page of this Site containing such button, the user’s browser establishes a direct connection with Twitter’s servers.
The content of the Twitter buttons is transmitted by Twitter directly to the user’s browser.
The provider of this Site therefore has no influence over the scope of data collected by Twitter with the help of this plugin, and informs the users according to their state of knowledge.
According to this information, only the user’s IP address and the URL of the respective website are transmitted when the button appears, but for no other purpose than displaying the button.
Further information on this subject can be found in Twitter’s data privacy statement at https://twitter.com/en/privacy.
Revocation, amendments, corrections and updates
The user has the right to receive, upon request and free of charge, information about the personal data stored about them.
In addition, the user has the right to correct incorrect data and that their personal data is blocked or deleted, provided that this does not interfere with any statutory data storage obligations.
